Important: VCL WAN and LAN interfaces have to be in different subnets! It is not allowed to use same subnet!
Start Virtualbox - New virtual machine:
OVA: Open OVA file in Virtualbox or import appliance:
VDI: VDI=Harddisk Image - create new virtual machine and choose the vdi image
- Shutdown VCL (ACPI shutdown)
- Adjust the CPU and RAM hardware settings according to your needs, keeping in mind the minimum requirements mentioned in general information (link above).
- Make sure that the network adapter is in bridged mode and satisfies the requirement of the non-firewalled public IP address. The detailed settings of Network Adapter 1 should be:
- Check Enable Network Adapter
- Attached to: Bridged Adapter
- Name: (choose the correct physical interface)
Advanced > Adapter Type: Intel PRO/1000 T Server (82543GC)
- VirtualBox Manager should show VCL Virtual Central Lock:
Check settings for VCL:
Start VCL – Activation + Connect Locks:
- Test internet connection before activation by browse any webpage (new browser tab, surf www.google.de)
- Standard Username: admin - Standard Password: admin
- Next match NEW Masterkey to your VCL by use: Remote Match Feature
- Now connect Locks to VCL via Key software (Devices/Connect Locks)
