What do the green and red dots stand for in the Lock interface?

In the Lock interface there are green and red dots beside the network devices. These dots indicate the status of the device’s network connection. When the device is online, the dot is green. When the device is offline, the dot is red.

Note that upon the first load of the status page the device status may indicate a device offline even though it is online, you can check this by pinging the device
